Sneak Peak Part Two
As promised I’ve made a couple more cards with the new products for you to take a look at.
This first card uses 2 more of the Floral District DSP designs along with a new Hostess stamp set called ‘Happy You’. This Hostess set is completely adorable. It contains 8 stamps, each one containing a cute graphic and sentiment. For those of you who have been thinking of hosting a workshop, this stamp set is definitely an incentive! So cute!
Colours Used: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze & Whisper White
As you can see I’ve provided two different views of the next card. I didn’t think that the straight on view was able to show a couple of the features of this card very well (embossing of the Raspberry Ripple card stock & the scallop punch), so I decided to do an angled view as well. This card again features the Papaya Collage stamp set and two of the new In Colours from the new catalogue. I have to admit when I first got this stamp set I really wasn’t sure what to do with it, but now I’m finding all sorts of ways to use it.
Colours Used: Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple, Gumball Green & Very Vanilla

New Product Sneak Peak
It’s here, it’s here! My new catalogue and sneak peak products arrived yesterday and they are wonderful!! The new catalogue is gorgeous as always and I love the new paper it’s printed on. Since I can’t show you pictures of the new catalogue or the new products just yet I decided that I had to make some cards asap to give you a little sneak peak. So here is what I made last night.
The first two cards below feature the new Papaya Collage stamp set and the new In Colours for 2012-14. The new In Colours are: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit. When I first saw the new In Colours online I wasn’t so sure I would like them, but once I saw them in person yesterday I was more than pleasantly surprised. They are beautiful! Unfortunately my picture below doesn’t quite do the Primrose Petals justice, it makes it look flatter than it actually is.

The third card doesn’t feature any In Colours, instead I used the new Floral District Designer Series Paper. This DSP is so bright and cheery that I thought it would work perfectly behind a cutout created using the Blossom punch. The Floral District DSP has 12 beautiful designs but unfortunately I ran out of time last night and was only able to make one card with it before I had to drag myself from the craft room to go to bed.

Catalogue Kick Off!
The new 2012/13 Stampin’ Up! catalogue starts June 1st and to celebrate, we are holding a Stampin’ Divas Catalogue Kick Off on June 16th!!
My new catalogue is supposed to arrive via UPS by end of day tomorrow and I’m just itching to get my hands on it. Not only that, but the sneak peak products I ordered are supposed to arrive as well!! I’m so excited!
This year it’s not just a new annual catalogue, it’s a catalogue that’s been completely redone. They have taken out most of the holiday items (these will now be in the Mini Occasions catalogues, which will come out twice a year), changed the type of paper they use to print it on and reorganized the layout. I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on it. Have I said that already?? 
As you can see we’re pretty excited about it and we want to share that excitement with you! So, please join us June 16th from 11:00 to 3:00 for a celebration of all things Stampin’ Up!

I’m killing two birds with one stone here. One, I’ve been wanting to create some cards using retiring punches to show that even though something is retiring it’s still a great product to have. Case in point, the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch and the Lace Ribbon Border Punch (one of my favourites). And two, I’ve been wanting to try out some Colour Challenges from different sites to use as inspiration. I’ll be doing some Sketch Challenges too, but I’ll save that for a later date.
So tonight I did just that. I started with a wedding card for some friends that are getting married this coming weekend and decided to use the Lace Ribbon Border Punch. It’s a simple card, but I think quite elegant.
Products Used:
- Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black
- Ink: Basic Black
- Stamp Set: Occasional Quotes (Retired – sorry)
- Accessories: Basic Black Satin Ribbon
- Punches: Lace Ribbon Border (Retiring May 31st)
Then I went on over to Pals Paper Arts website (http://www.palspaperarts.com/) where I did my first Colour Challenge (PPA134). This challenge was to use the colours Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze & So Saffron. I decided these would be great colours to use with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (retiring May 31st) to make a fun Spring card. I had seen this idea somewhere online in the past with a 6 x 6 card so I used what I could remember and put it to use on a standard size card with the colours from Pals Paper Arts.

And lastly I went to Hand Stamped Sentiments Blog (http://handstampedsentiments.blogspot.ca/) to do their Colour Challenge (HSSCC116). This challenge was to use Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey, Regal Rose & Pool Party. At first I wasn’t sure what I was going to use except for the Lace Ribbon Border punch and a retired stamp set, but which one? After using the punches on the sides and gluing the grey lace punch along the bottom I decided it needed to be a flower stamp in the middle. Once I had picked the stamp set it all just seemed to fall into place.
